Worship in the Park — 8 am Sundays (by the gazebo at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park located at 87th Street Parkway and Lackman Road), from June 14–August 23. Bring a lawn chair to this fun, informal service.

Celebrate the Arrival of Our New Senior Pastor, Peggy Hillmon. Be sure to welcome Peggy and her family as they begin their ministry at Lenexa United Methodist Church.

Come to Sunday School! There are classes for all ages at 9 and 10:30 am. The youth worship together at 9 am and head to their own Sunday School at 10:30. Small groups also meet at various times during the week. Call the office for details if you are looking for a small group.

Read a Good Book. We have many in our newly updated Church Library. Check out our great children's books. We also have many books available from the current United Methodist Reading List.

Volunteer in the Community. This can be as simple as donating a can of food to the food pantry or bringing your gently used school backpack for the homeless (bins are available at church), helping out at a local homeless shelter, reading to an older person at a local nursing facility, pulling weeds for your neighbor or traveling to another community to help with disaster relief. Contact one of our pastors if you would like some guidance with ways you can reach out to others, modeling Christ's example.

Parking Lot Update for July

Beginning Monday, July 6th, and continuing for several weeks, our West Parking Lots will be under construction and unavailable to us. Only the extreme north end of our west parking will be serviceable. These places will be reserved for our senior citizens and those with handicapping conditions. If the weather cooperates, the expectation is that this inconvenience will only last for two weeks (two Sundays - July 12 and 19). We will need extra volunteers to assist people at our west entrance and to "ferry" people from the Old Town parking area. Call in advance if you will need the elevator for accessibilty as there will be at least one Sunday this summer when it will not be operating. Please contact Pastor Lane or call the office with questions or if you can help - 913-888-5600 or lane.bailey@lenexaumc.org
